Washington County Inmate Search & Jail Records
Inmate and jail records contain information about detainees collected during the booking process. When an arrest is executed, the arrestee is taken to the Rhode Island Department of Corrections facility in Cranston. There are no county jails, which means detention is managed by the state DOC. Detainees are booked at a local municipal detention center and transferred to a state facility within 24 to 72 hours.
The public can approach the Department of Corrections with an inmate's details to search jail records. The DOC also maintains an Incarceration Search website, which allows the public to search inmate and jail records. Phone inquiries are also allowed through 401-462-1000 or 401-414-2871.
